Civil Litigation Attorney (5-10 years experience)
RYAN CARVALHO & RETZ LLP seeks a Civil Litigation Attorney with approximately 5-10 years of litigation experience. Successful candidate will have experience in insurance defense construction defect, personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, premises liability and general civil litigation. First chair trial experience a plus, but not a requirement.
This position requires significant experience taking and defending depositions as lead counsel in seven figure, multi-party cases, including party and expert depositions, attending mediations, arbitrations and substantial law-and-motion experience with oral argument. Candidate must possess a strong work ethic and excellent leadership, case management, communication, research, writing, analytical and advocacy skills. Salary is negotiable, but starts at $135,000 based on annual 1,800 billable hours to clients and is commensurate with experience. Substantial bonus considerations for exceeding the annual 1,800 billable hour goal.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
- Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
- 5-10 years of experience practicing civil litigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple cases
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience with legal research tools and software
